For funding reasons, NPR has veered away from its middle of the road position in the last 5 years. Thus, in my view, it lost neutrality and my listenership.

I got a reply from our corporate attorney that "We did file both of your applications together. However, each application is adjudicated separately. We anticipate her approval shortly."

I am in a similar situation with no new stamp or I-94 while last entry into the US from Canada at a land border crossing. This is the date/place that I had mentioned in my I-485.

There is a mighty good probabilty that we will get an RFE to
establish proof of inspection of entry into the US
So...start getting together any proofs for that:D that said it is fairly easy to take care RFE

The only catch could be on the MMR. MMR needs two vaccinations. The two vaccines nmeed to have a 1 month gap. So if you take one and to medical exam, they will force you take the 2'nd one right there. Ofcourse they don't care about the gap since they want to make money

Hi My emplyer is saying that he will apply for extention 3 months before expiry . So I guess he will apply in July . So in that case I need the Paystubs of May and June . Am I right ?

The good thing though, if your PD becomes current and you file AOS for them, they will follow your PD and will be approved along with your case. Meaning, your wife will always be in queu with you and overtake those with later PD.
The bad thing, if you don't maintain your H1, they will be out of status unless you got them their own H1 or apply for F1.
Worse is if they have to go back to your home country and wait from there.

Hi, I only paid a one time fee of $170 for the AP. To expedite the application it took only a day( day we called ) and with a week we received confirmation!

When discussing premium processing, capitalism etc categories, we should not forget that USCIS is a monopolist. There is no alternative, hense all screw ups, "premiums" etc. Capitalism has nothing to do with USCIS. This organization is a typical crippled socialistic child.

Is it advisable to put in a big % of your income into the retirement account. There seems to be a nearly 30% early withdrawal loss if you ever were to pull money early out of that prior to 60 years of age. So basically your own money will be lost.
Any ideas on this issue? It is not that I am planning to withdraw early but just for information purpose.
1)If you have a company match(if you contribute certain percentage company also contributes certain percentage towards the account) then it is wise to put money in 401K.
If not given the crappy funds offered by the 401K plan provider it is not a good idea.
2)Also don't go overboard with this 401K , don't put too much money , if you still want to invest there are other vehicles like Roth IRA.
3)Talk to qualified financial adviser instead of seeking advice from annonymous folks, especially when it comes to your money.

Are you sure you talked to the Immigration Officer? The guys who pick-up the phone at USCIS are not Immigration Officers. They are working for the contracting company assigned to just handle the incoming calls. If you convince them for speaking to an Immigration Officer about a pressing issue, only then you get transferred to an Immigration Officer, that changes of this happening is 1 in 10.
And the chance of the representative of the contracting company saying this is very high. Others on the forum have report much more weird experiences/replies.
Could you please clarify if the call was actually transferred to an Immigration Officer who told you this?

USCIS started sending notifications for Premium Processing petitioners on 15th April, 2008. yes it is like that all these years, but atleast now I hope them to use their idle and rusty brain.
There are tons of people with approved 140 with 2006/2007 PD. Even if they process they will not be in the position to grant GC to these people due to lack of visa numbers. So I hope they sort it out and process the applications based on PD.
The applications themselves are processed by receipt date but the approval still depends on your PD.Someone correct me if I am wrong...

that is the part of the problem...... uscis has never provided correct and complete size of the backlog..... if backlog size were to be 190,000 then the dates should get current in all of the eb1, eb2 and eb3 categories in around 1 year.... how many here expect the dates to be current for all categories in around 1 year? probably close to zero.... nevertheless, most people think that the size of the backlog is equal to the number of applicants ahead of them..... which is to say that those ahead in line for each one of us is the cause of the backlog and not part of the backlog.... and those behind us do not deserve to be counted with us..... perhaps they should just wait period...... this is the formula most people here seem to use to derive at the size of the backlog.... hence difference versions and different numbers for the size of the backlog.....
USCIS admits to a backlog of 190K but most are in EB2-I/C and EB3 with a PD earlier than Aug 2007. No one knows how many people are waiting in these categories with approved I-140s from Aug2007-Sep2010. It could be another 150-200K. S0 even if the backlog is not 800K, but its around 400K.

I've applied for EAD/AP renewal for both myself and my wife. I spent $1,290 for this.
Say I got my GC approved and then I call USCIS and withdraw my pending EAD/AP application. Will I get a refund for pending EAD/AP application, if I get my GC approved before EAD/AP approval?

Nope. You will be asked to pay double the amount for 485 since they approved it before your EAD :D
