I was hoping letting this thread pan out for a few days I could read an amazing story and have a good ending... too bad this isnt the case yet...
I really do hope you catch them. Its pretty amazing how you might be able to get your Xbox back from Connect360. If you do end up catching them you should email the developer and tell him your amazing story. Not only can it connect your 360 to your mac, but it also is able to catch crooks ;)

Ohhh, nice. 922s are nice for medium sized builds...
yeah it was on sale, so i went ahead and got it. i'm on a budget these days. but still an upgrade from my previous case.
so i got it on, and the cooler as well. so far not that great. running at 3.7 ghz, the temps are in the low 80's C. not good. we'll see how it goes

I agree, although I like the design (I like metal things, the 3G and 3GS didn't appeal to me as it was plastic and that looks cheap to me - or maybe I'm a magpie and like shiny things :o)

No, guys, this is simply because of the effect of perspective. Parallel lines draw towards a single point at infinity, so the two parallel top and bottom edges of the phone are not parallel on the photo, this is normal!
However, that doesn't mean the image isn't fake. Any 3D program will produce a correct rendering of perspective, that isn't the problem.
Why do these images always come in such low quality? I imagine someone with enough interest in new technology, having photographed a claimed future iPhone back, owns a decent camera that doesn't produce images of such bad quality! It's easy to fake an image if the quality is deliberately made worse, preventing us from seeing important details...

If it's just Disney, then there's not much point. The reason iTMS succeeded from the start was that it was simple and it had the largest library from which you could purchase single songs.

I did when I made my post, it doesn't change the situation much, if at all. What they did was what they did, and the majority of this discussion was after last year's MWSF, in which case the upcoming MW of which the OP discussed the point of if they should be banned hasn't even happened yet. So this discussion is still very active and relevant.

I don't think expense is the issue here.
It was more the logistics of serving hundreds of thousands of clients I was thinking of, although expense could be a factor - I would suspect that the vast majority of people who would bother to watch a live keynote stream will find out what's said anyway via another method, so little financial benefit doing a live stream.
Technically a live stream to the stores would be far more likely, but then you have human management issues - how busy the stores get etc.

A transgendered woman going into a women's room should not be treated like a skeevy guy going into a restroom, but it happens. I've seen it happen. I pointed out the comparison to spark a conversation, not to say it's right, but to say the comparison is often made. Either there is a failure of education and tolerance, or some accomodation needst to be made, or maybe security should be better, or something...

Only if you opted-in. As for the consolidated DB, I think need to read up on what the DB is for. Apple sends you the information, not the other way around.
Let's suppose Apple did want to track you... Why would they collect the cell cache? It would be easier for then to just log your request from their system.

No, it very much is an issue, but I think this is an issue we should look into after the "timer" portion is working.
If we have a skeleton of a "timer" application working, with start/stop/resets going and a display that updates properly, then changing variables we increment based on the NSTimer firing to variables we increment based on the system clock is a trivial change.

I kinda of find it odd that the Best Buy's Insignia player called the DVxG comes with bluetooth and ogg support. I have a few ogg files so that is key but bluetooth is not when I am looking to make my next video player purchase. But the surprising thing is the fact that a major brand generic like player has bluetooth and ogg support which is rare(separately but even more rare together).
If Apple want to compete they should look at some of the Korean players specs to see what they need to compete with.

First, Apple must build an iPhone that will work on Verizon's CDMA network (iPhone is GSM & HPDA), OR Verizon must upgrade their network to handle GSM/HDMA. I don't thing either will ever happen.

In personal experience, most of the Apple "haters" I've known have fallen into the category if they could afford an Apple product, then they wouldn't hate.
Hating something is easier than openly admitting "I want that but cannot afford it", so by creating a hate figure out of the company/products, it makes it easier for the person to "accept" that they will never own the product they secretly lust after.
