FYI, a cracked screen is not purely cosmetic.... a scratch might be. A crack can lead to moisture getting inside, or dust, etc. But on that note, once its fixed, it would be like new. Or someone can mickey mouse it.
PMed.
Thanks for the info! There has been no moisture/dust since it happened and it's already been a week. As far as it's current state, it's a perfectly functioning iPhone with the cosmetic flaws you see.
AS FAR AS PRICE, I have seen these go for $300 easily on eBay. My asking price is $300 OBO! Please make offers here as my PM Box is almost full! I'd rather sell to this community =)

Anyone else have a problem with a flat panel display developing yellow hot-spots around the edges of the screen?

Scientists have warned that a really big solar eruption could destroy satellites and wreck power and communications grids around the globe if it happened today.
lol we're so insignificant. Our tiny little planet's power and communications grids can be destroyed by the sun farting.

I'm in the market for a 1 gig stick for my 800mhz iBook G4 but I can't find crucial offering any for the iBook. I'm sure they have some somewhere but I want to make sure they guarantee it.
Send me a link maybe?

Does anybody know why?
P.S. I get about 1/3 the normal battery life running XP, 1/2 running Vista, and 2/3 running an unsupported OS - Windows 7 - on my MBP.No idea. I have even encountered anecdotal evidence where a Hackintosh notebook will have better battery life under hacked OS X when compared to Windows.
Though it only applies to certain models and if you can get the power management to work properly.

I'm a great fan of Ruby myself. Check out MacRuby (http://www.macruby.org/) which runs directly on top of the Objective-C runtime, not via a bridge. Check out Aimonetti, Mark (2011?) MacRuby : the definitive guide, O'Reilly (http://oreilly.com/catalog/0636920000723/). It's still in early release, due for final release in July.

There is a minor difference - the new iMacs have an ambient light sensor which will provide ideal brightness whether you are in a dark or well-lit environment.
If you manually set the brightness, does it return? Perhaps the display was set too bright/dim for the conditions?
From Apple's site: "To conserve power and relieve eyestrain, a built-in ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the screen brightness on MacBook, MacBook Pro and iMac to suit the ambient light of whatever room youre in."
Very Possible, thats your answer there...

The mini does not use the same parts as the iMac to be pedantic. The mini uses MBP parts. The iMac uses desktop parts.
Your right, my mistake.

No problems with my Magic Mouse.
Crazy question, but is it still slow after adjusting tracking to Fast in system preferences?
By no problem, do you mean that you feel no difference between 10.6 an 10.7?
Well the cursor is not as fast as in Windows, but it's managable.
What exactly do you mean by acceleration?
It means that the cursor movement is not linear to the mouse movement. Google it and you will see that it's a huge issue for people that want to game on their Macs, especially for Windows switchers that are not used to it. The worst part is that there is no setting in OS X to remove it.
Here are two images that illustrate it (from a 3rd party software that removes the acceleration)

Hmm, I have noticed that printers are really quite musical...The music is often frustrating because the more of it there is, the longer you have to wait.
But this IS an interesting concept that I'd be willing to check out...For free.

OK I see the problem with Netflix, Microsoft not support PPC in Silverlight (well at least for the Macs), obviously the processor in the XBox is a tad different..
It's all about the coding for the OS ;) Plus the 360 doesn't use Silverlight for Netflix.

Just checked on my Verizon iPhone running iOS 4.2.8, and it IS allowing me to airplay video to my Apple TV. I don't usually airplay, as I just stream via homesharing from my Macbook Pro to my Apple TV, so I can't say if this is "new" or not. But, I can definitely Airplay video.

i would just like the flexibility of not being tethered to my desk...i like to work in different environs.
i know it may seem silly to some, but im willing to pay 90 for that.
i dont even know what my room looks like yet, so i dont know.
thanks for the input guys, is the ability to configure network visibility and passwords included in the software? or is it already located in preferences>network?
thanks
