Mine is Opposite. EAD issued for 2 years even though my PD is current (based on interfile). Don't know whether the interfile is successful or not.

Which document to produce for people on EAD and AP?
I used my H1B since that had a further date of expiry than my EAD but when my next renewal comes up I guess I will have to show EAD as my H1B will be in process of being renewed then.......
Might have to keep alternating if you have a choice......its kind of an irritant for sure........DMV has no issues with our status when they want us to renew our registrations :mad:
If I am paying my taxes as a resident then I should get the same benefits... :rolleyes:

I am not sure how uscis sent you a query after the h1 was approved. Please take infopass appointment on http://www.infopass.uscis.gov/ and speak to an immig officer about your case
Once you have the h1 approval i797 you should be eligible to start work from the start date on the petition. You also need a new i94 showing h1b status. The new i94 may be attached to the approval notice. You also have the option to work on OPT for some time after completion of your studies.

I read some where that filing is allowed to Aug-17, but the new fees will effected on 01-Aug although July filers.
Correct me If I'm wrong.

You can go to USCIS.gov page and look for the press releases.
New fees will apply to the ppl whose labor gets approved after July 31st. For all the guys who are eligible according to the June 12th Visa Bulletin, though they apply till Aug 7th, only old fees applies.

We want to get married in court ( simple) in late may, 2010 so we can fill all of the paper work but we are going to las vegas for the real ceremony in late september 2010. Do you think the USCIS will get suspicious?

I'm in the same boat. Got my CPO mail 2 hrs after filing an SR last week, but still waiting for my better half to get the approval. I had filed a separate SR for her and it returned with a standard "will get back in 60 days" response. Oh well, after waiting many years I can wait a few more days...
On a brighter side since your wife is derivative on your case even without GC she can work on EAD and can work any job no AC21 or what is written as job responsibilities in labor cert hassle. Though it is still some financial pain to renew EAD and AP. Good luck.

An H1/ H4 was in their list. But my Wife used her EAD and is no mor eon H4. They advised her to apply for F-1, which I dont think is an option (the F-1 application will be rejected anyways, because of the already demonstrated immigration intent).
