Look at your I-140 approval notice, aka I-797. At the bottom is the address (including the PO box) that processed your I-140, and that's where you have to file your I-485.

In india we celebrate the bharat pravasi diwas (NRI Day) and PM is in attendance. Remittance to India is a big boost to the economy.
PM should give a hint to Obama on EB issues but I don't expect PM to help me get my GC. Bharat Pravasi diwas is a good way to initiate this dialogue within the NRI community.

Pappu - it is defnitely pathetic that people have not been able to make best use of Ombudsman's calls.
But we have to accept reality. In general, from what I understand, Ombudsman calls are for common man and people who participate may not necessarily be an IV member or come to IV forums regularly or think in the way we think. Even if an IV member is on the call and is a regular visitor to forums and is wanting to do something collectively, he/she may want to deal with their case.
If IV is organizing the Ombudsman call and requests IV active members to utilize the opportunity in the best possible way - it is a different thing but that may also not help.

Any one get refund from USCIS ??
I sent EAD application on 05/01,was approved on 06/14 and never received to my address,called after 30 days of receiving email,they said card lost in the mail and they suggested to apply replacement card.I applied for replacement card,approved and also received last week and since monday receiving emails saying card production ordered on old one which was mentioned as lost in the email.I just spoke to USCIS representative,he suggested to send a letter to TSC for refund request.
any one sent letter for refund before ? do we have any form for refund ?
How this will work out ?

Hi all,
I have come to texas on a B1 to the client location. I stayed with my colleague who has a apartment here. When we left to office ( my first day ) .I made a mistake leaving my passport and others in apartment. .
I have applied and got a new passport .
I have applied for I-94 by filing I-102 . The processing dates are very slow for this . I only have a reciept of this and nothing.
I am leaving 3july next month...what need to be done....i dont even have a VISA.
And what needs to be done for B1 VISA.
I emailed the chennai US embassy but couldnt get any reply............

The job order will contain the job description. This will be in the Labor Application. Usually when a 140 is being applied, the employer will provide you the job order and tell you to ensure your experience letters are in line with the Job order.
You will need the 140 number. See if you can get it somehow. Since it belongs to the employer, I doubt you can get the number by calling USCIS.
The 485 is yours and you should get a receipt. With this receipt, you can invoke AC21 without any problems. You will not need copies of Labor or 140.
But to Invoke AC21 and for subsequent adjudication of 485 without issues, nature of the Job should be same or similiar. What are the options by which I could find my Job nature.. Since I don't have a labour copy or i-140 info.. Any inputs ?

My strong advice is stay on H1 always. EAD is like a piece of gold plated card. There are many risks associated with it, for example if u r renewal is not done on time, you are nailed, u cannot collect pay, or else it is considered against the law. I would try downloading the software update from nikon and reinstalling it to see what happens.. it is fairly simple.. there are "A" and a "B" programs that need to be loaded independently... the instructions on the site are straightforward... I have had D-70 since they came out and have had no problems.... If your local retailer will not stand behind the camera it seems nikon should... isn't there a year nikon warrenty?

Do you know whether the substituted LC was used by the original employee by using AC21. If that previous employee got their GC...then the subbed LC is void so 140 will be denied.
This confusion w.r.t AC21 & labor sub was the very reason that LC sub was abolished.

My case was closed in Error at the PBEC. My attorney had sent a letter saying this some months ago. Today my attorney informed me that there is some new procedure of re-opening cases that was closed in error using which he says he sent the information by email today.

If we have more people like you we can work on trying to get the eligibility start time for citizenship counted from the time I140 gets approved rather than the day you get Greencard.
This maybe a big change and even help us politically as more people will become citizens earlier and can vote.
This is something for all IV GC holder members and all other GC holders everywhere to think about. They are invited to have a dialogue and participation in such an effort if interested.
