I am trying to find a good sound dock for my iPhone 4 that also has a FM radio. I bought the Sony RDP-XF100iP this weekend and am not overly impressed, given the cost. It is bass-heavy with little option to adjust the top-end ranges ( cymbals, etc ) and radio reception seems a bit shaky. All of that would be fine for a sub-$100 unit, but this is pushing $200.
Can anyone recommend a good option?

今日は is actually "Konnichiwa" The は is pronounced わ in this case. I tought at a highschool in Japan for two years, and even the native students often wrote it incorrectly. 今日は and こんにちは are ok, こんにちわ is wrong.
今日は = "kyou ha" = "today is"

If Apple really wants to gain significant market share, it's going to have to advertise to people other than yuppies. I AM a yuppie and Apple's advertising and general attitude are a huge turn off for me.
Working class America is intimidated by snobbery and will always feel more comfortable with down-to-earth, Wal-Marty companies. If Apple wants to gain users, it needs to find an innovative way to advertise to both it's existing yuppie constituency and common consumers. Otherwise they can forget about rising higher than a low double digit percentage.
People who are happy with Wal-Marty companies are going to buy the cheapest thing they can find, so they will go for the $500 laptops and $350 desktops.
Apple is not in the business of massive marketshare, it is in the business of making money. It is doing quite well with its current offerings AND current marketing, so it is unlikely to go downmarket. Consider, 58% of its income and most likely a similar percentage of profits come from Macs, so that's 546x.58 = $317 million. Compare this to Gateway - similar number of PCs sold, but it made a loss of $7 million last quarter.
Increased profits come with increased market, but only up to a point.

This reminds me of a history project I had back in high school. We were to tally up all of our household (then parents house) goods made in china. The idea was to give us perspective of were our money was going. Obviously I found a lot of what I was looking for but I was more surprised of how little of our possessions were made in America. Even now, much of my possession are foreign made...mostly japanese and chinese :rolleyes:

I agree with you. New CPU, memory, cameras, etc are enough of a bump. You don't need it completely redesigned it's only been a freaking year.
When the current form-factor is fundamentally flawed:

I don't think it's out of the ordinary to expect Apple to review and update the design of the phone. The iPhone 4 was their biggest design failure since the Mac Cube -- I can't believe they'll sit on it for another year.

Because you love Apple and want them to be really profitable and design more wonderful stuff and take over the world and you can say you were ahead of the curve rather than having to explain why a computer needn't crash! Or maybe you just got $100 to burn and you could do worse!;)

No, there's a slight difference. He's simply selling the parts with no control on quality or guarantee that white glass will negatively affect the iPhone. Apple isn't selling the white iPhone 4 because there are quality issues that the suppliers can't overcome. Rumor is that the white glass on the iPhone 4 isn't consistently white and allows light to bleed through to the camera sensor. Apple had enough problems with the antenna "issue", so I imagine that'd take precautions with the white glass...

Unless the microgenetics machines are small, well, there are several stages in DNA transcription and reverse transcriptase, which would make several conditions unsuitable. Heat destroys it. It can be awfully slow. There are at least 6 stages using different equipment.

A EF-s 50 mm lens is 50 mm on a 1.6 camera. A 50mm EF lens on that same camera is similar in image to a 80mm EF-S lens. The reason for the difference comes into play by the amount of the lens the camera is using to record the image and the proximity of the rear element to the camera sensor.
I have a Sigma 10-20mm (EF-s equivalent) for my 7d. It's Focal lenth is 10-20mm. It's field of view is 16-32mm.
If you could fit it on a full frame (which you can't because of the mirror reflex as explained earlier by someone) but if you could,
it would still have a 10-20mm focal length. However it would have an increased depth of field (over the crop) of 10-20mm.
I dont even think you can get that wide on a full frame. I mean you can get a 8-15mm fish eye, but you would have a circular picture at the widest end.
